Today we have a guide for the FAD in Call of Duty Ghosts.
The ergonomic FAD has the lowest damage in the assault rifle class. It takes three shots to kill a target up close, whether you get a headshot in or not. Clearly, this is a serious disadvantage. Thankfully, that damage is consistent at a farther range, so it only dips to four shots to kill at medium range, three if one is a headshot.
It has the highest rate of fire of any assault rifle. This fully automatic rifle outputs 882 RPM. Average hipfire and low damage aside, the FAD is competitive with other SMGs thanks to its rate of fire. Recoil is moderate, making shots at longer ranges a little challenging. 300 ms aimtime and 90 % mobility are average. Overall, close to medium range is the FAD’s safe zone, and you should not stray from it often.
The FAD magazine can carry 42 rounds, 63 for extended magazines. This comparatively higher capacity is evened out by the high rate of fire. Reloads are a little slower at 3.23 seconds, so you will need to be mindful of this at all times.
The FAD is a good choice for a close quarters build. You can even beat out SMGs if you pick the proper Perks and Attachments for it.
To start, Extended Magazines will alleviate problems with the slow reload time. You will still discipline your trigger fingers to make sure each bullet is well spent. If you do, you will be an efficient killing machine.
The Suppressor will support your killing machine instinct, concealing your location so that you can keep going undetected. You aren’t hurt as much by the reduced range, and you also reduce muzzle flash for better aim, which is vital to this weapon.
Also vital to this weapon is the Perk Steady Aim. This brings the FAD closer in line to the SMG. Ready Up will keep your reaction time quick as you move towards targets for a better shot. Quick Draw accomplishes the same objective, giving you the opportunity to ADS all your targets. Aside from these, you can choose to specialize further in Stealth or Recovery Perks.
