Romino Games has confirmed to Destructoid that Awesomenauts will most likely not arrive on PlayStation 4 until 2014.
The studios said there was a "slim to none" chance of the game launching on Sony's new console this side of New Year. Abstraction Games, which is handling development of the port, is said to have submitted the game to Sony "several times" for verification.
Awesomenauts, an over-the-top 2D side-scrolling MOBA, is already available for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. The Starstorm expansion for the Steam version of the game is also being developed alongside the PS4 game and is said to be progressing quite well.
Hopefully whatever issues Sony has with the port are resolved soon. In our review of the PS3 version; we noted "The game mixes 80's cartoon graphics and platforming gameplay with a deep and modern upgrade system" and awarded the title a 7.5.
