EA Canada is said to be working on an open-world Star Wars title according to recent job listings spotted by Kotaku.
The studio is looking for an animation director for "a major new next gen open world action game." In September, the studio's former recruitment director also tweeted a link for a role as combat designer on what she said was indeed a Star Wars project.
EA Canada is also searching for an executive producer for a Star Wars title and it's possible that those employed will be involved with Visceral's as-yet-unannounced Star Wars game.
Redwood Shores (i.e. Visceral) has almost the exact same listing for a Star Wars executive producer.
Though there have been many Star Wars games, none have been set in the open world. LucasArts, before its closure by Disney, was attempting to develop an open world title named Star Wars 1313 however.
Disney's deal with EA was recently revealed to last ten years and the first game announced as part of the agreement was Star Wars: Battlefront from DICE. BioWare is also believed to be developing a Star Wars title as part of the deal.
