The Mandate, a space exploration game packed with 1500 years worth of lore, has just reached its $500,000 Kickstarter goal. It's a big moment for the team, but the Perihelion Interactive project still has four more days to earn some extra funding before it begins full development.

What is The Mandate? Think of it as the interactive space drama you’ve always dreamed of. You can have deep interactions with your crew, explore different worlds that react to your unique choices, board enemy ships, and fight massive space battles. This is a sizable RPG experience, with a great deal more ship and player management than something like Mass Effect.
