Techland has released a new trailer for Dying Light which aims to demonstrate the next-gen lighting effects being used in the game.
Dying Light was announced earlier this year by the Dead Island developer and Techland's CEO Pawe Marchewka commented at the time that:
"The next-gen technology allows us to create a truly dynamic open world that features a game-changing day-night cycle. Inventive free running mechanics also allow for nearly unrestricted exploration and weapon-crafting to further enchance the action survival experience."
The game combines Dead Island's first person combat with the free-running of Mirror's Edge and sees players move about the world in daytime to stock up and re-arm before the zombie hordes descend at night.
You can watch 12 minutes of Dying Light in action here and the lighting trailer below. Dying Light is headed to PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One in 2014.
