Google I/O is officially over and there has been a load of new announcements and updates. If you missed out of the event then take a look at the round up:
Honeycomb Updated
Google will be rolling out the new updated version of Honeycomb. Motorola Xoom customers will first get the upgrades and continue to Google TV owners this summer. You can expect brand new expandable widgets, support for USB peripherals which includes joysticks and cameras.
New Android OS: Ice Cream Sandwich
Google has a new name for the upcoming Android 4.0 called Ice Cream Sandwich. Ice Cream Sandwich will be running on several devices such as tablets and mobile phones.
Google Movies
Competing with popular movie services such as Netflix, Google has started a brand new app for their tablets and phones. Google Movies will allow users to rent and play the latest movies.
Google Music
Google Music is up against iTunes now. The new music service will allow you to upload music files including iTunes libraries and playlists to the cloud. You will be able to play your music to devices connected to your network which includes phones, tablets and computers.
Chromebooks
Chromebooks are finally on the way. The little netbooks that run Chrome OS will be available June 15.
Google TV Getting Android Market
This summer Google TVs will get full access to the Android Market as well they will be getting Honeycomb 3.1.
Google I/O also had some Oprah moments giving everyone over 5,000 attendees brand new Chromebook PCs and Samsung's Galaxy Tab.
