Sony Computer Entertainment Asia Japan and Sony Malaysia announced today the details for the much-awaited PlayStation 4 console in the South East Asian nation.
The PlayStation 4 will launch on December 20, only a day after its release in both Singaporean and Hong Kong markets, and its release is considered to be a lot faster than what Microsoft has, thus far, failed to muster with the release of the Xbox One in the region.
The PlayStation 4 will be priced at a whopping RM 1,799 ($562) without any games, and can go as high as RM 1,969 for bundled versions, putting very much ahead of the price of the PlayStation 4 elsewhere in the world. Despite costing a pretty penny, the price of the PlayStation 4 in Malaysia is still nothing compared to what Brazilian gamers will have to pay.
In addition to the console, Sony will be releasing peripherals including the DualShock 4 controller (RM 249), DS4 charger (RM 119), vertical stand (RM99) and PlayStation Camera (RM249).
Preorders for the console are set to begin from 15 November to 13 December.
