Future PlayStation 4 owners can prepare for the console launch with the new PlayStation App now available on iTunes and the Google Play store.
The new application lets players manage PlayStation Store services remotely from smartphones or tablets. Players away from home can make purchases of games, movies or music and begin remotely downloading the media onto their PS4 console.
Outside of the PlayStation Store, the application lets players chat with friends through messages, invitations, game alerts and other notifications. Similar to a social media feeds, the application offers statuses on what friends play and even view recent activity.
PlayStation owners can download the application free from the iTunes store or from the Google Play store.
