Ed Boon Walks Players Through The Terminator’s Gameplay Mechanics in Mortal Kombat 11; Free Weekend Now Available to Download

October 11, 2019 by Jordan Biazzo

Free trial is now available to download!

Nether Realm Studios director Ed Boon, took to the Playstation Blog to walk fans through some new gameplay mechanics for the inclusion of the highly anticipated DLC character for MK 11 — The Terminator!

The Terminator is making a come back in 2019 as we’ve seen him pop up in Gears 5, his upcoming Dark Fate movie, and now his inclusion in Mortal Kombat 11. The Terminator is an iconic character in all of cinema, so it’s going to be pretty epic when he arrives in the game.

Check out the new walkthrough gameplay of Terminator in MK 11 down below:

Here are some of the highlights from developer Ed Boon discussing the Terminator in MK 11 down below::

The team added a lot of new features, pushing everything to its technical limits to make all gameplay, intros, victories, Fatal Blows and Fatalities feel truly impressive. The character team worked hard to not only add new systems for all the Terminator dismemberment and Krushing Blow content but to also add new features enabling the addition of decal elements. These allowed us to give the Terminator several different shirt options.

We couldn’t do the Terminator without showing the T-800 endoskeleton. This is my favorite skin, the damage to the face and the revealed skull are just plain cool. In addition, the design team has really outdone themselves by adding a game mechanic that will have you fighting as the T-800 endoskeleton, if you have the right move equipped and you are at low health in the final round.

Mortal Kombat 11 is now available for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. A free trial for the game is currently available to download this weekend, so make sure to jump up on trial before it ends. Let us know in the comments below if you’re excited to try out the Terminator!
