Agony is a pretty dark game as it tosses players into the depths of hell and you’ll encounter a plethora of demons as you attempt to recall your memories from being free in the living world. Our protagonist discovers that there is a way to return back to life but it will require the aid of a powerful demon known as the Red Goddess. We won’t spoil the narrative for you, but this game was originally released back in 2018 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms. Since its release, we knew that the game would find its way out into the market once again, but on the Nintendo Switch platform.
We don’t have any concrete date yet on when Agony would see a release on the Nintendo Switch platform, but a new Tweet went out to alert fans that the title is still being ported over to Nintendo’s latest console hybrid. This will also be one of the more controversial games released. It’s certainly a mature and dark title, but it’s also not one that most had found to be all that pleasing to play.
The reception for Agony has been rather poor with complaints about the game not having enough content to keep things feeling different. Now that could change for the upcoming port release as Forever Entertainment may help provide some more content to keep playing going back and enjoying the game to achieve all the different endings.
That’s purely speculation on our part, but one thing is for sure, we’re still not given any word on just when Agony will see its launch on the Nintendo Switch platform. If you’re not sure if Agony is for you then we suggest looking at our Before You Buy episode upload which we embedded above. In this series, we provide viewers with some general gameplay along with our impressions of the title at the current state filmed.
