Path of Exile has an official release date of October 23, and its launch comes with an all new playable "prestige" class called the Scion, accessible only after the player completes the game for the first time.
In addition to the new class, players can experience an expanded Act 3 with six new areas, monsters, quests and skills to claim. There's also a "grand finale" boss fight, eight new support gems, dozens of new passive skills, and three new skill gems (Throw, Animate Weapon, and Animate Guardian).
The developers at Grinding Gear Games have also announced that players will be able to establish their own guilds in Path of Exile for the first time ever, that allows players to share their loot in a Guild Stash and a Guild Chat to communicate between leagues.
Finally, the game sees the addition of new PvP modes: Dueling, cApture the Flag, and a schedule of PvP tournaments.
Further details about the game's launch can be found at the official forums here.
