Enslaved: Odyssey to the West Premium Edition Rated

October 10, 2013 by Stephen Daly

Australian Classification Board reveals unannounced version of Ninja Theory’s game.

Update: Namco Bandai has confirmed to Polygon that Enslaved: Odyssey to the West Premium Edition will be launching on PC and PS3 later this month. This is the first time the game has reached PC. No mention of an Xbox 360 version has been made despite the fact that the game originally launched on both that and PS3.

Original Story: The Australian Classification Board has revealed the existance of Enslaved: Odyssey to the West Premium Edition which has not yet been announced by either developer Ninja Theory or publisher Namco Bandai.

Re-releasing the game seems somewhat odd given that Enslaved is now three years old and did not perform particularly well at retail. Earlier this year Ninja Theory released DmC Devil May Cry but that game also fell somewhat short of publisher Capcom's expectations.

Enslaved was originally released on PS3 and Xbox 360 so PC gamers may finally have a chance to pick up the rather excellent game but it's currently unclear which platforms will be seeing the Premium Edition and the rating simply states that the game is a multi-platform title.

It's also unclear if the Premium Edition will include the Pigsy's Perfect 10 DLC. Enslaved: Odyssey to the West is set 150 years into the future in what Ninja Theory describes as a "post-post apocalyptic" America in which nature has reclaimed major cities following a war between robots and humans.

We rated the game 8.5/10 in our review.
