SOMA, the latest project from the terrifying studio that is Frictional Games, continues to deliver cryptic messages with both a new transmission and video. The above item, labeled "Mockingbird," showcases a conversation between a scientist and a robot that isn’t afraid to speak its mind. We know little about the actual narrative of this near-future experience, but the discussion that’s being recorded in the video gives the indication of artificial intelligence that’s a bit confused about its own existence.
The full five-minute affair is worth a watch, as well as the below transmission. We shouldn’t be surprised that the team behind Amnesia can make a short message like this chilling, but it’s still impressive for the dark tone to come through so strongly.
