Danish developer Full Control has today announced the Messenger of Purgatory campaign for turned based RTS title Space Hulk which will be released for free.
The game, set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, will see three new missions which task players with finding the scattered remains of Captain Atarius.
Thomas Lund, CEO of Full Control, commented:
"We wanted to give the community a big ‘thank you’ for the wonderful support they have shown, through the first stage of launch, and we think that fans will really love the Messenger of Purgatory campaign. This game update addresses many of the fan requests and suggestions that continue to hone and refine the experience of Space Hulk."
Alongside the new campaign a patch offering a host of fixes and tweaks is also being readied for release which is said to greatly improve the performance of the game as well as enhancing Space Hulk's unit and environment graphics.
The full changelog can be seen here. In our review of Space Hulk we said that while the game offered a well-realised 40K world it was impeded by being rather boring. Hopefully Messenger of Purgatory improves the package but if not, at least it won't cost you anything.
