From the development team, Illfonic, who you may remember from Friday the 13th: The Game, comes Predator: Hunting Grounds. This is a PlayStation 4 exclusive video game title that we don’t know too much about as it’s still a relatively new video game title unveiled to the world. Sony revealed the upcoming Predator title during a State of Play May video upload but didn’t showcase any gameplay footage. Luckily we don’t have to wait too much longer before the gameplay footage is officially revealed.
Gamescom is coming up and it’s a big event held annually like E3. Set in Germany, game developers and manufacturers take to the expo to make new reveals along with gameplay demos for attendees to try out. While E3 may hold traditionally hold the bigger IP video game reveals, there is bound to be plenty of exciting announcements during this year’s Gamescom. For instance, one of those reveals is the gameplay footage for Predator: Hunting Grounds. This reveal will happen during the Monday livestream happening on August 19, 2019. It will be a world premiere though we do already know how the game will be set up.
In the past, we’ve seen official statements that Predator: Hunting Grounds will be an asymmetrical multiplayer action shooter where players will take the role of an elite military squad completing tasks while avoiding the Predator that lurks the woods. As mentioned, this is a PlayStation 4 exclusive video game title though we don’t have an official release date yet other than the game is slated to launch at some point next year, 2020.
