Dragonball Z: Battle Of Z Will Let You Collect Genki

October 2, 2013 by Ryan Parreno

You too, can get energy from around the world to power your Spirit Bomb – online.

We have some choice screenshots of upcoming fighting game Dragon Ball Z: Battle Of Z, for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and Playstation Vita. Here's a sneak peek at the game's controls.

The game is notable as the first video game appearance of Bills, Wiss and Son Goku’s Super Saiyan God form. It will also have multiplayer combat, with a four player mode, eight player Battle Royale, and even online. As has become par for the course, the game will explore the full range of the Dragonball storyline, and will thus have the most popular characters, although the roster is not quite as definitive as Budokai Tenkaichi 3.

Namco Bandai revealed a new feature in the game, called Genki Request. Much like Son Goku asking the world to lend them their energy for his Spirit Bomb, earning a Special Bonus will allow you to gather and share Genki, with other players around the world. There will even be a world meter that will accumulate and measure the World Genki.

So there are two kinds of rewards you can get for completing missions. Dragon Ball Points are used to buy items from the Item Collection Store. Special Bonus events will allow you to send Genki, as well as earn Premium Points in exchange. Using these Premium Points, you can get unique items from another store, called the Premium Collection Store. One such item is the Limit Jewel, which allows some fighters to use their Ultimate Move. Yes, for Son Goku, this means his Spirit Bomb.

The verdict is still out if Battle Of Z is going to be that odd decent Dragon Ball game, but there’s no doubt that it looks good. Check out more pictures below.
