This morning Activision and Bungie have announced the Beta for the upcoming shared world shooter Destiny, pairing it with a new trailer highlighting both a destination and race that players can expect to encounter during the game. Entitled "The Moon", you can see this new gameplay footage below.
The Beta, available in early 2014 and expected on PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360, will be available to those who preorder the game from a select group of retailers, a full list of which you can find here. Early access codes will be limited to supplies on demand. After making a preorder purchase, players can go to http://bungie.net/beta to enter their 9 digit code and secure their Beta access. Those who have already secured their copy of Destiny in advance are automatically entered into the Beta and will receive their codes via email through their respective rewards program.
This news confirms an earlier report that highlighted an Amazon listing that stated the Beta would come in early 2014. Yesterday the PlayStation 4 cover for the game was also revealed, to mixed reviews.
