Elder Scrolls Online: See Cyrodiil, The User Interface, And The Maps

September 29, 2013 by Ryan Parreno

We share additional details to immerse you in Elder Scrolls lore.

Check out these albums of Elder Scrolls Online images, including a preview of the entire user interface, screenshots of Cyrodiil, maps for the Daggerfall, Aldmeri Dominion, and Ebonheart territories. There’s more than enough visual spoilers here to ruin any sense of discovery here, but if you’re looking around to decide if you want to play, check this out! Elder Scrolls Online is an impressively large world. We’ll share additional details below.

Cyrodiil is the capital province of Tamrial and a major setting in the Elder Scrolls universe. In Elder Scrolls Online, it’s where the different factions, the 1st Aldmeri Dominion, the Daggerfall Covenant, and the Ebonheart Pact, fight for control. We will get into more detail about each faction below.

Led by Queen Ayriel, the Aldmeri Dominion is an alliance of three races (Altmer, Bosmer, and Khajit) who intend to restore Elven rule to the country. They do not think the races of Men are fit to rule, and that role should be taken by their kind instead.

The Daggerfall Covenant joined together former enemies due to economic conditions. The High King of Wayrest, Emeric, was able to unite the Bretons, Redguards, and Orcs, with the common goal of taking control of Cyrodiil to bring back stability and reestablish the trade routes.

The Ebonheart Pact is the most fragile among the three alliances, but remains a strong and powerful faction. Led By Jorun The Skald-King, the uneasy joining of the Nord, Dunmer and Argonian forces came about to repel the Akaiviri invasion.

The Elder Scrolls Online user interface allows you to look at your stats and skills, your inventory, your journal, world map, social (including contacts, guilds, mail, notifications and groups), an Alliance War-themed scoreboard, and options.
