Pokemon Origins Series Set to Look Back at Red and Blue

Four part animated show coming to Pokemon TV in November.

Pokémon X and Y are set to be the first games in the series released worldwide simultaneously on Saturday, October 12th for Nintendo 3DS and with that in mind the Pokémon Company has announced Pokémon Origins; an animated adventure which will look back at the original Pokémon games, Red and Blue.

The series will be exclusively available on Pokémon TV. It will follow in the footsteps of Red as he journey's throughout the Kanto region; battling his rival, taking on Team Rocket, and overcoming the Pokémon League.

Pokémon Origins is a four-part series which is said to offer a "new perspective on the Pokémon hero story" which is set to debut on November 15th. The other three episodes will be added to Pokémon TV is the days following the series' launch. 

Pokémon fans can also view Origins on-the-go via the free Pokémon TV mobile app for iOS and Android devices. Pokémon Red Version and Blue Version were originally released in North America in November 1998. The early games were re-released in 2004 for GameBoy Advance as FireRed and LeafGreen.
