Epic Games Store gets kind of a bad stigma after all the exclusives the company has managed to acquire. Regardless, it’s a marketplace where you can still enjoy a number of different video game titles and one-way Epic Games is hoping to bring in more users to their platform is by providing a free video game title each week. If you have yet to download the client then you may want to in order to enjoy the latest free title, Overcooked. This title comes shortly after the previous free game release, Last Day of June.
Overcooked is a cooking simulator type video game. Developed by Ghost Town Games, players take on the role of a chef who must prepare a variety of meals within the time limit. However, the game is filled with obstacles and hazards forcing players to quickly work together in order to send out the desired meal recipes that come up. This is a game best played with a friend and it can be downloaded and owned forever through Epic Games Store just as long as you redeem your copy before the end of the week time allotted to feature the game.
Again, Epic Games Store offers a free game to redeem and play each week. In the past, we’ve seen titles such as Super Meat Boy, Oxenfree, Enter The Gungeon, and Axiom Verge. You have until July 11, 2019, before the game is taken down and is replaced by the next free title, Torchlight. In other Epic Games Store news, Epic Games CEO has stated that going forward, exclusives that are acquired will still offer either a free key to the previously marketplace a gamer may have pre-ordered or a complete refund. This comes after the fiasco with the crowd-funded title, Shenmue 3 was acquired by Epic Games Store when it was previously confirmed to be available on the Steam marketplace.
