You can easily spot a Telltale Games title right away. The studio was known for delivering gamers a narrative experience with several choices scattered about throughout the narrative. While the studio didn’t really embark on a journey to create a whole new franchise, they did attempt to capture the magic from other beloved series and IPs such as their biggest hit, The Walking Dead. In the years since the first season released for The Walking Dead, the studio failed to bring out additional hits and it eventually leads to the studio closure during the development of The Walking Dead: The Final Season.
Now we all know that the game did come out through the help of Skybound Games. However, now that the development studio has gone under, some of the video game titles that were previously available for purchase through storefronts all over online, are slowly going away. You may find it difficult to purchase certain Telltale Games titles now but one thing is for sure, Skybound Games is not allowing The Walking Dead to wither away. Instead, they are bringing out a definitive edition out that will easily be a head turner for those who enjoyed the series over the years Telltale Games provided.
The Walking Dead mainly followed a young girl named Clementine as she grew up in a harsh world filled with the living undead zombies. As we mentioned, Telltale Games really delivered on a narrative standpoint with their video game titles. This is especially true for The Walking Dead as there have been several games where players are presented with difficult choices and consequences. Likewise, each game can look back at the previous choices you made from previous titles which will tweak the current game narrative.
With The Walking Dead: Definitive Series edition, players are getting all of the games and DLC with the enhanced graphics black style that was presented in The Walking Dead: The Final Season. Furthermore, there will be a soundtrack and a developer commentary. We now know that the video game will be available for players to purchase both physically or digitally on September 10, 2019, for the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms.
