Fresh from Tokyo Game Show, Square Enix put together an extended Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13 trailer starting with Lightning's dreary state.
Following a grim reality of the end of the world, Lightning arrives at a time where her role involves releasing souls of those who cannot die. Towards the end of the trailer, Snow makes a return but this time it appears in the role of an antagonist.
Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13 takes criticisms of both Final Fantasy 13 and Final Fantasy 13-2 and will try, for the third time, to deliver the game many fans hoped series would become. Square Enix created dozens of costumes for Lightning in which players can choose from for cosmetic variety.
Some music tracks from the Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13 soundtrack will also make their way into the Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call release announced for Japanese audiences in 2014.
