A new video has been released for Batman Arkham Origins showing the PhysX effects in the game including "cape physics".
Yes, a great deal of attention has been paid to getting the movements of Batman's cape just right in Origins. This makes him "much more realistic".
We then see physics on and off. With physics on the game offers realistic fog which adapts to player movements. The same applies to the weather with snow being a significant part of the environment for the game which is set on Christmas Eve.
Footprints and shadow effects on the snow are described as "crazy" which has been enabled by "super cool technology."
Batman Arkham Origins is a prequel to Asylum and City and sees a younger Batman hunted down by eight assassins over the course of the night. It will also be the first game with multiplayer in the series.
The game is set to be released on October 25th for PC, PS3, Wii U, and Xbox 360. A spin-off title named Origins: Blackgate will be released on the same day for PS Vita and 3DS.
