Prepare for your next mission soldier, Ghost Recon is back with a brand new installment that will follow the same formula Ghost Recon Wildlands introduced. Players will be dropped in an open world environment with cooperative multiplayer. While we don’t have a ton of information about the game, we do know that it will follow Nomad who is cut from backup on a fictional Pacific island seeking out a rogue ghost being portrayed by Jon Bernthal, famed from his roles in The Walking Dead and The Punisher.
However, if you’re holding out hope to enjoy the game on the Steam platform with your friends then you’re out of luck. It turns out that Ghost Recon Breakpoint will be only sold on two PC platforms which will be Ubisoft’s own Uplay storefront along with Epic Games Store, likely due to the revenue profits they will be able to earn compared to Valve’s Steam platform. At any rate, this will likely not settle too well with PC gamers as there’s been an uproar against Epic Games for grabbing up exclusives, keeping them away from the Steam platform.
With that said, the video game is not a PC exclusive. Ghost Recon Breakpoint is releasing on consoles as well. In fact, we already know that the video game will be launching on October 4, 2019, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms. Likewise, you can even get an early access code to enjoy the game which we have detailed in a guide on how to gain access right here.
