In an interview with Screen Crush, actor Vin Diesel explained his plans to create another Riddick game with the original development team.
Just this past year, Vin Diesel revealed that he "reassembled that team from Starbreeze that brought Escape From Butcher Bay, to create the third game."
The previous two releases, Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena and Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay, gathered a loyal following who continually asked for a third release.
Starbreeze recently developed cyberpunk themed FPS, Syndicate, which did not sell well despite the franchise roots. The rebooted franchise sold around 150,000 copies worldwide which publisher EA considered a failure.
