Rumor: Microsoft Bringing Out Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Subscription

April 5, 2019 by Dennis Patrick

Could this be one of Microsoft’s upcoming E3 announcements?

Microsoft is promising a big E3 this year and it’s a good opportunity to really outshine the competition since Sony has already confirmed that they won’t be present during the expo. So as we get a bit closer to the expo more and more rumors are coming out of what to expect from the company. Today a new supposed rumor and leak has emerged online that suggests Microsoft may bring out a new subscription tier for their Xbox Live and Xbox Game Pass. If you’re one to enjoy both services, this new subscription may help save you a bit of money in the long run.

Microsoft’s Xbox Live has been around since the original Xbox release. This service gives players some extra deals along with access to enjoy online multiplayer for video game titles. However, if you’re looking for a bit more access to some video game titles without having to pay full price for each title then you may have opted for the additional Xbox Game Pass. With this service players are given access to a large selection of video games which can be streamed for a monthly fee.

Essentially, this is PlayStation Now for the Xbox One but with the current generation video game titles. However, the two services were separate so if you’re looking to enjoy both at a discounted price then you were out of luck. That may change as a new rumor has come up that suggests Xbox Game Pass will have a new tier known as Xbox Game Pass Ultimate which combines both subscriptions.

At the moment, we don’t know what the price would be such as if you’ll really get good savings on this deal monthly to annually. However, being a rumor, this could potentially be completely false. We’ll, of course, keep you updated on the very latest, but with Microsoft claiming a big E3 show, perhaps this is one announcement they plan on revealing during their press conference.
