When it comes to online services for video game consoles, there are a few incentives from companies like Sony. While gamers could pay to enjoy video game titles online with friends, a means to keep players coming back each month is by giving away free video game titles monthly. They will be free for players to enjoy just as long as they keep up with their subscription service. However, one platform that is following the same implementation is Nintendo, but most would agree that they are not offering enough to keep gamers interested in the online service purely for their free catalog of video game titles.
As it stands right now, Nintendo is offering select Nintendo Entertainment System collection of video game titles on the Nintendo Switch Online service. This would provide gamers with not only access for online gameplay with their Nintendo Switch games but also a growing list of NES games each and every month. While the online service in general costs quite a bit less than Sony or Microsoft at just $20 a year, there has been criticisms over Nintendo not supplying more video game titles from their range of past console platforms.

One big addition that would likely bring over more subscribers into the service is the introduction of Super Nintendo Entertainment System games. While some are hoping that Nintendo makes the surprise announcement, it appears that there are a few savvy online gamers that managed to discover some coding that may reveal a SNES inclusion for Nintendo Switch Online is inbound with a number of video game titles also set to release.
Again, this is purely a rumor right now as Nintendo has yet to make any official announcement.
