Scott Frank, who has been nominated for an Academy Award and was most recently involved in The Wolverine, has said he's currently re-scripting the film adaptation of Assassin's Creed.
"I'm re-writing Assassin's Creed right now, and what I love about it is that I've never adapted a video game before and it has its own set of challenges," Frank revealed. "Especially in the world of re-writes, I love trying to do something completely different if I can."
Frank was Oscar nominated for his work on Out of Sight and his credits also include Minority Report, Dead Again, Flight of the Phoenix and Get Shorty.
The Assassin's Creed movie is set for release on June 19th, 2015 and stars Michael Fassbender who is also the movie's producer. The original draft script of Assassin's Creed was produced by British playwright Michael Lesslie.
Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, the next game in the series, is set to launch on October 29th in North America and on November 1st in Europe for PC, PS3, PS4, Wii U, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
