Thomas Was Alone creator Mike Bithell has today announced a new game entitled Volume.
According to the trailer's, above, description: "Mike is joined again by composer David Housden, and a massive new team of artists. Platforms will be announced shortly, and the game's story and cast will be revealed at Gamecity 8 in Nottingham."
Volume is a stealth title with elements of both Metal Gear Solid and Minecraft. The game is set to be released in late 2014 and Bithell has been working on the title for the last seven months.
Players in the game are tasked with avoiding guards as they go about stealing items. While the game will come with extensive environments there will also be a user generated concept element.
"[REDACTED] Does not kill. That would be far too easy. Instead, he commits his crimes through stealth. He sneaks, he distracts, he avoids. He is never seen, and seldom heard. As he grows in popularity and notoriety, so will his inventory. Blackjacks, bugles, thunderclaps and veils are just some of the tools at [REDACTED]'s disposal," notes the game's website.
More about the game will be revealed at next month's Eurogamer Expo and at GameCity 8.
