If you’re yet to experience Dishonored, one of the most highly touted open-world titles of 2012, don’t think that it’s too late to jump in. Not only is there still a chunk of DLC that’s yet to be added to Arkane Studios and Bethesda’s project, but a listing on an Australian ratings board (discovered by NeoGaf) has revealed that a Game of the Year Edition of Dishonored is on the way.
Little information can be gathered from the listing at this time. The package has received a rating of MA 15+, which is the label the original game earned, but everything else is pretty much speculation.
At this time, there are two expansions available for Dishonored. Dunwall City Trials was the first, which launched last December, while The Knife of Dunwall hit online marketplaces this past April. Both were well received, which has led to a great deal of anticipation surrounding the upcoming The Brigmore Witches DLC, which is set for an Aug. 13 release. If this is like any other Game of the Year Edition thus far, every bit of post-release content should be crammed into this new game.
This will be a multiplatform title, so expect the PlayStation 3, PC, and Xbox 360 to feel the Bethesda love. With next-generation consoles set to make quite a large splash by the end of the year, it wouldn’t be a bad idea for Arkane to get Dishonored into peoples’ minds, hearts, and homes before November rolls around.
