Microsoft has been working hard on that Xbox One communication, revealing fresh new details for their upcoming console in a Q&A with IGN.
First off, regarding the system's integrated Game DVR, it will record video at 720p and 30 frames per second. Thanks to Upload, all recorded video will immediately be put up on the cloud, and you get to use an internal video editor to create your own videos. The Xbox One will also seek out "magic moments" on their own to automatically make highlight reels. The videos are accessible from the Xbox One Guide, each game's DVR collection and when you browse for gamercards. Finally, Microsoft promises some games will use the DVR functionality to use back in game.
Your Xbox 360 avatar is one of the pieces of data you can carry over, but if you want to, you can opt to take full body pictures instead. The 64 x 64 pic on the 360 has been replaced with 1080p pics taken with the new Kinect.
Xbox One and 360 achievements will stay separate, even if you own the same game on both consoles. Xbox One's achievements system has also been souped up from 360's. There will now be new achievements available throughout the year, and seeng your achievements progress on the console.
Finally, regarding Xbox Live Arcade, Microsoft reveals that there will be no distinction between indie and AAA games on the Xbox One. They will sit side by side under the most common search modes, such as popular, newest, etc.
