Google Pulls Playstation Emulator from Android Market

PSX4Droid, PSOne emulator for Android phones removed from the Android Marketplace following the release of Xperia Play

The upcoming release of Sony Ericsson's Android-powered Xperia Play, also known as the "PlayStation Phone" has spurred Google into removing a PSOne emulator from the Android Market.

Its author, who goes by the name "zodttd" says that his app, PSX4Droid was removed without warning and given a "Content Policy Violation." He suspects that the release of Sony's new phone may have spurred the company into action.

Another PSOne emulator, FPSE, remains available on the marketplace.
