At E3 2011 Irrational boss Ken Levine announced that he wanted to bring the BioShock series to PlayStation Vita and speaking to Kotaku, he's said he still wants the game to happen.
Levine says that while "I can't personally greenlight the thing myself. I am literally trying to make a match between the parties," he commented, referring in this case to Sony and Take Two. "They have to agree and it has to be a business deal. I've been trying to do that for a very long time. I'm still very much engaged in that."
He adds that he's spoken to both parties on more than one occasion recently, "I have conversations. I've talked to all the parties in the past couple of weeks."
It seems like BioShock on Vita is something Levine would still very much like to see but the ultimate decision will rest with Sony and Take Two and whether they can come to an agreement to get the game developed.
Earlier this week Irrational announced DLC packs for BioShock Infinite and it was revealed today that BioShock Infinite will be released on Mac on August 29th.
