Nintendo Switch Receiving Three Additional NES Games On November 14th

November 7, 2018 by Dennis Patrick

Metroid among other NES classic titles are being included this November.

Nintendo followed suit with Sony and Microsoft by requiring gamers to pay to have access to specific online features with the Nintendo Switch. This service brings in a number of useful features to give players an incentive to pay the $20 yearly fee, however, one aspect that Nintendo is using similar to Microsoft and Sony is the use of providing past video game titles to enjoy. Unfortunately, the Nintendo Switch doesn’t offer the latest video games or even past generation titles to enjoy with their online service subscription. Instead, Nintendo is offering gamers a collection of Nintendo Entertainment System video game titles.

The subscription service fee will grant players access to the video games only until their service subscription comes to an end. There are several video game titles available to enjoy and as promised by Nintendo, there are new video game titles being added regularly. Today we’re finding out the three new video game titles being added into the collection on November 14, 2018. These three new video game titles are TwinBee, Mighty Bomb Jack and Metroid.

As mentioned, there are other video game titles available for the Nintendo Switch subscription service. We’re of course curious as to if this subscription service will eventually lead to other past video games from other Nintendo platforms, though so far it seems to be strictly the NES for the time being.

Current Nintendo Switch NES Video Game Titles
  • Balloon Fight
  • Baseball
  • Donkey Kong
  • Double Dragon
  • Dr. Mario
  • Excitebike
  • Ghosts’n Goblins
  • Gradius
  • Ice Climber
  • Ice Hockey
  • The Legend of Zelda
  • Mario Bros.
  • Metroid (November 14th)
  • Mighty Bomb Jack (November 14th)
  • Pro Wrestling
  • River City Ransom
  • Soccer
  • Super Mario. Bros.
  • Super Mario Bros. 3
  • Tecmo Bowl
  • Tennis
  • TwinBee (November 14th)
  • Yoshi

While gamers can purchase the Nintendo Switch online service in monthly increments, the best deal may be a solid yearly fee of just $20 which will grant you access to the NES video game titles listed above.
