I think the allure of successfully robbing a bank quickly gets squashed when considering the consequences if caught during or after the robbery. Payday 2 won't give you any money for robbing any banks, but at least you can gain some skills to help the process run more smoothly.
For Payday 2, players will find four different classes.
The Mastermind will lead the team of clown mask wearing thieves through his ability to tame any bystanders. If something should go wrong, the Mastermind can dole out health like a medic class.
The Enforcer will most definitely require a lot of healing as his strengths in using weapons will put him at the front of any gun fights. His increased health and ability to provide ammo to other team members, makes his role an essential part of successful operations.
The Technician uses gadgets, mines and sentry guns to provide any supporting fire for the rest of the team. Should one member need to leave the area he watches, the sentry will act as a great temporary replacement.
Finally, the Ghost specializes in stealth actions and can kill silently with his silenced weapons. The ECM jammer will also help stop alarms from triggering to ensure a quiet entrance. Ghosts can also open electronic doors to avoid entering the building in more guarded areas.
If a player levels, the game awards skill points to invest into learning abilities found in the skill tree.
Payday 2 will launch this August on Steam, PS3 and Xbox 360. Should you want more before the Payday launch, 505 Games put together a live action web series.
