One of Konami’s biggest IPs that grew a massive following was Silent Hill, a franchise that has been arguably gone stale past the point of Silent Hill 4: The Room. Regardless, some fans are still hoping that Konami may bring out the franchise once again, especially after the hype and hope were raised up with the announcement of Silent Hills, only for Konami to kill it off after the split between Hideo Kojima and the development studio. Now, it appears that the franchise is getting a slight nod with the addition of Pyramid Head into Metal Gear Survive.
Pyramid Head has become the icon for Silent Hill since his debut in Silent Hill 2. We’ve seen him in other video game titles within the Silent Hill franchise, film adaptations, and now most recently, we will see him in Metal Gear Survive. Metal Gear Survive is the latest entry to the Metal Gear franchise, which takes place after the events of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes with soldiers having to fight off an otherworldly attack.

The game received mostly mediocre reviews but it’s still got enough players going to bring in more content. Likely due to Halloween coming up, Konami is unleashing Pyramid Head into the game along with a number of soundtracks that includes Silent Hill and various Castlevania music tracks. This is also a timed event which will kick off on October 23, 2018, and will go until November 6, 2018.
