Dead Rising 3 Video Documentary Blends and Grates Zombies

July 22, 2013 by Andrea Castellano

Various Dead Rising 3 gameplay segments with developer commentary.

To cap off the zombie slaying trilogy, Dead Rising 3 will launch exclusively for the Xbox One featuring a open world larger than both Dead Rising 1 and 2 combined.

With brand new hardware and the Azure Cloud, developers on Dead Rising 3 can create a seamlessly loading world that will also populate hundreds of zombies in each area. The huge zombie horde can include a variety of zombies such as football player zombies, police officer zombies or even prison inmate zombies. Their appearance or equipment will dictate how they try to knock the player down for a filling dinner.

With improved processing power, Capcom Vancouver can program the zombies to behave naturally (however zombies should behave) to different sounds or sources of light. With so many zombies to kill, Dead Rising 3 will also allow cooperative play to let your buddy jump into your game.

Dead Rising 3 will launch alongside the Xbox One this November.
