There are no shortages of video games being released on the Nintendo Switch but there is always a wonder as to if a third-party video game will launch on the Nintendo hybrid console. While Nintendo is giving it their all with the console by giving gamers consistent triple AAA video game releases, non-first-party video game development studios are still bringing out their video game releases when possible. One of the upcoming big title releases slated to launch on a number of platforms is Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey.
The game is launching in October for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms. However, it looks like it may find a launch on the Nintendo Switch as well. A Japanese Nintendo Direct unveiled that the game would be a streaming-only title but at the very least, the Japanese market would receive Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey. However, it doesn’t appear that this game would be released outside of the Japanese market.
GameSpot recently spoke with a Ubisoft representative regarding the game release for the Nintendo Switch in which the spokesperson stated that at the moment this is a limited market release. That doesn’t mean that the game won’t see a launch into other markets, but at the moment, there are no details regarding the video game release.
At any rate, Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey will still be releasing on October 5, 2018, for the PC, PlayStation 4, and lastly, the Xbox One platform.
