Firefall has been in closed beta for well over a year, and in that time, it's seen numerous changes and overhauls that have altered the game at its very core. With each subsequent iteration, the game has become more and more polished and today, its developers at Red 5 Studios have announced that it's finally ready for the open public with the launch of the game's open beta.
As the press release goes, "gamers from all corners of the globe" can now log into the game and enter the war-scarred world of Firefall to do battle against the Chosen, and explore New Eden, and even challenge each other in PvP combat.
Players who enter the game can also take part in the game's dynamically-spawning world events called ARES missions, and experience the first release of story-driven content in "Blackwater Anomaly."
In addition to the game's open beta launch, players are invited to pick up Beta Starter Packs that will help them get their feet wet by unlocking additional battle frames, cosmetic items, experience point boosts, and more. Check those out here.
The launch of the game's open beta is accompanide by the release of trailer for the game's Blackwater Anomaly storyline.
