Most fighting games, like fine wine, cheese, and Harrison Ford, get better with age. At least, that seems to be the case these days with the emergence of DLC. Titles like Tekken and Street Fighter receive enough new characters and costumes to warrant second looks down the road, and it was only recently that the latest Mortal Kombat game came to PC with more bonuses than you might have time to actually see. NetherRealm seems to be at it again with its super-powered 2013 project, Injustice: Gods Among Us, which has just seen a Game of the Year Edition listing on Amazon France.
The PlayStation Vita is listed as a platform, according to Test Your Might, but that’s likely not the only way we’ll be able to experience the game. The developer will probably try to get the improved version of its brawler on every platform under the sun, and with a projected release date of Nov. 6, all the violent action should be available before the next-generation consoles make it to the market. Similar to what we’ve seen with other re-released fighting games, all the downloadable fighters included in the Season Pass should be stuffed into this version of Injustice, as well as any other DLC that happens between now and November.
Amazon isn’t the outlet to confirm things, but we’ve seen leaks like this come true in the past. For now, check out our full review of the game and at least get marginally excited about what should be a strong holiday release.
