Following Atlus USA's statement that operations continue, Atlus Japan has corroborated on Twitter and their website that announced game releases will continue, as parent company Index Holdings undergoes civil rehabilitation.
For upcoming PS3 and Vita game Dragon's Crown, both the packaged and digital download versions will release as scheduled on July 25. Devil Survivor 2: Break Record was originally scheduled for July 11, but Atlus is reconsidering and will update on a future release date.
Dragon's Crown will also retain save data sharing functions and multiplayer when it gets released on PSN. Atlus emphasizes that these functions are dependent on Sony's network, not Atlus.
Atlus also confirms physical and digital releases of Shin Megami Tensei IV and Etrian Odyssey: Millenium Girl will continue, including DLC for SMT IV and the trial version of Millenium Girl.
Finally, Atlus confirms that they are pushing through with Personal Music Festival 2013 in Budokan Hall on August 13 as planned.
Atlus' other titles still in development, such as the upcoming Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem crossover for the Wii U, were not mentioned by name, but Atlus confirms that those will also continue development as scheduled.
Irregardless of the troubles Index Holdings has, it seems Atlus will be getting preferential treatment to ensure they continue operations. As we mentioned in our initial report, they were singled out in the civil rehabilitation filing as a prime asset, and that Index will consider taking any action to make sure they survive.
This does address most gamer's fears Atlus was going out of business or that its immediate projects were in jeopardy. However, we have yet to see if this will affect what many gamers have learned to love from Atlus, which is the localization and Western release of many niche, but deserving, Japanese games, such as Catherine.
