It's apparent that Kojima Productions wants to make some waves at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo. Whether they plan to do this with only trailers of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain is beyond us, but logic dictates that some modicum of gameplay footage should be making its debut at the annual convention.
Last week, Hideo Kojima himself published a picture dubbed "Not for the Future." While this was an awesome way to tease all of us gamers, it goes without saying that it wasn't very revealing.
Well, today there is more of the same. Kojima has published yet another photo on his personal Twitter account, noting that preparations are nearly finished. However, some changes to the lighting in the trailer are still being made. Again, the image doesn't reveal much, but we're happy to see that things are still cooking along nicely.
Take a look. It appears to be a big blob to us, but maybe you can infer something more:
With The Phantom Pain due out later this year, E3 could mark the real take-off of Kojima Productions' veritable hype train. The Metal Gear Solid games have always been known to feature a huge build-up – does anyone remember the latest console entry, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots?
Considering the Konami pre-E3 show is only three short days away, we believe Kojima when he says that they are simply touching the trailer up. Mark your calendars for June 6th, as we'll finally be treated to what Kojima Productions has been working on so fervently.
