One of the many joys of being a dedicated and educated gamer (i.e anyone who frequents Gameranx) is explaining what is happening to all your non-gaming. And no doubt much of your past week and a half was been spent giving the low-down on what the heck is the deal with Microsoft's upcoming Xbox One.
The whole issue of lack of backwards compatibility and not being able to play used games is a bitter pill to swallow to those of us who have had our 360s for a while and at least understand why big publishers hate GameStop, for those who just got their console and think paying full price for a game is "crazy talk" then it especially perplexing.
So along comes NMAtv, aka Next Media Animation, to the rescue. As they often do, they take very complex stories, plucked from the news, and boil it down to the barest essentials. Often in an overly simplified manner, and showing quite a bit of bias, which is unbecoming of a serious news agency, but then again, the actual big boys seem to suffer from these very same issues.
But pretty much every single base is covered in their recap, along with the potential headaches plus potential solutions are also vividly illustrated. At least as well as they can be when one is using 3D animation tools in which a quick turn around is the highest of priority.
