Welcome to a new world where we don’t have to refer to Microsoft’s next-generation gaming console as the Xbox 720. Feels good, right? There’s still plenty of information that still needs to be detailed before we have the complete picture on the Xbox One, but it looks as if the first game cover for the new Xbox has been revealed via the Battlefield website.
Are you ready to see how all your Xbox One game cases will look like? The below box of Battlefield 4 can be found on the official website for this blockbuster shooter, and while nothing has been confirmed by Microsoft at this time (we’re pretty sure the company has its hands full with that whole used-game charge thing), this look pretty legitimate.
But that’s not all, folks. A PlayStation 4 case can also be found above, and yes, this one looks pretty real as well. Same rule applies, though: this is not the confirmed, final appearance.
It may just be a small detail in a news-packed day, but hey, it’s still fun to see even more of the future of gaming. Today also provided us with the news that the Xbox One will only support external storage, the console allows for immediate play during installation of games, and there’s a mandatory hard drive install for all games that you plan on playing. Reports on the many different features of the Xbox One have been dropping all day from different sources, but most of it just won’t be clear until the dust settles.
