LittleBigPlanet 2 is more than two years old, but that hasn't stopped the team from producing DLC for the game. This week, Sony has news on the PlayStation blog that the newest piece of LittleBigPlanet 2 DLC will be Mass Effect themed. Unfortunately, it's not a replication of levels from the series created with the puzzle platformer's tool kit, but hey, I'm sure some budding level designer will make just that when she gets her hands on this Costume Pack.
From the LittleBigPlanet website, here's what the pack includes:
“Commander Shepard N7 Helmet, Commander Shepard N7 Armour, Commander Shepard N7 Gauntlets, Commander Shepard Skin.
Liara Head, Liara Armour, Liara Gloves, Liara Skin.
Wrex Helmet, Wrex Armour, Wrex Gloves, Wrex Skin.
Garrus Head, Garrus Eye Piece, Garrus Chest Armour, Garrus Gloves, Garrus Chest Armour, Garrus Skin.
A selection of Mass Effect™ themed stickers.”
Unfortunately, from the looks of things “Commander Shepard” here means “male Commander Shepard” only. So where it says “Commander Shepard Skin” that's a face with a bit of a moustache. Obviously, everyone's Shepard looks different anyway, but they could have at least provided a female option.
The other three characters look pretty impressive, however. Liara has her speckled blue skin, Garrus has his scars (so this is after the beginning of Mass Effect 2, then), and Wrec has, well, everything that Wrex has. It's the fiercest Sackboy I've seen, and yet it still manages to look cute.
The Costume Pack will be available from Wednesday, and is compatible with LittleBigPlanet 2, LittleBigPlanet Karting, and LittleBigPlanet PS Vita (one purchase buys a copy for each). Is your favourite character included?
