Deep Silver has announced a twin-stick co-op shooter called Narco Terror which is headed to PSN, XBLA and Steam. The game promises "seamless drop in and drop out at any time" gameplay.
In a press release it was stated that "Deep Silver and Rubicon Organization present Rick Quinn in Narco Terror, a sophisticated, action-packed twin-stick shooter that thematically harkens back to classic action movies from the 80s and offers great diversity with several arcade gameplay sequences."
Quinn is described as a former special ops "one-man army" faced with overwhelming odds. Delgado, a drug cartel boss, has kidnapped his daughter in order to prevent the crime syndicate's operations being exposed. However, "Quinn is the deadliest weapon around, and will stop at nothing to get his daugther back."
Narco Terror comes with customisable weapons, various ammo types including explosive rounds, grenades and power-ups and more. Quinn will be forced to take on tanks, helicopters and jets in a variety of modes including 2D side-scrolling and top down vertical sequences.
"Narco Terror offers gameplay diversification never seen before," the press statement adds.
The digital title is set to be released this summer. Narco Terror follows in the footsteps of Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, a similarly 80s inspired downloadable shooter which we gave an 8/10 in our review. You can see Narco Terror's announcement trailer below.
