Avalanche Studios' Christofer Sundberg has told Edge that gamers can expect "holy f**king s**t" moments in future games from the Just Cause developer.
"We've never had any ambition to go very deep with our narrative and focused more on explosive fun," Sundberg commented. "It's entertainment! I have no ambitions to make players cry or have any deeper feeling. A great laugh and a big smile as players pull off a completely over-the-top stunt is all I can ask for. I can assure you that with our next games there will be plenty of 'holy f**king s**ts' to go around for everyone."
He also revealed that Avalanche were developing a steampunk themed game which has now been put on hold "I really love that at style, and to combine it with sandbox gameplay is a dream of mine. Fortunately, being an independent developer I can control my own destiny and we'll make something in that world sooner or later."
As for what the studios is currently developing Sundberg stated "We are developing for both current and next-gen, but the earliest we'll be able to talk about it and go into any detail is after the games we are working on are announced."
Asked about using devices like Oculus Rift and motion control he said "Absolutely, if the game experience is enhanced. Kinect and PS Move don't have to be gimmicky. Next-gen development has offered so many possibilities for developers to create awesome stuff with both software and hardware so major props to Sony for opening up that world to us."
Avalanche's chief technical officer Linus Blomberg has said "PS4 will outpower most PCs for years to come."
