Microsoft plan to release their next Xbox console in "early November" a new report has suggested following the reveal of the system at a special event offically confirmed for May 21st.
The date has been provided by Microsoft blogger and journalist Paul Thurrott who previously revealed the May 21st date for the console's unveiling before Microsoft's official announcement.
Thurrott has said that the next Xbox "will be expensive" and come with two price options. Gamers can either splash out $499 or $299 with a subscription he has now said will cost $10 a month over an unspecified time. Ultimately, this will work out being more expensive though the initial cost is obviously less.
Following the initial teaser on May 21st the full launch line-up will be unveiled at E3 Thurrott says. Yesterday, Microsoft's Lary Hryb commented "[On May 21st] We'll share our vision for Xbox, and give you a real taste of the future. Then, 19 days later at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles, we'll continue the conversation and showcase our full line-up of blockbuster games."
A November launch would put Microsoft's console in direct competition with the PlayStation 4 which is due to launch 'Holiday 2013' though it's unlikely the two consoles will launch too closely together, the real question is which company will have a headstart and for how long.
Among the games expected to be released for the next Xbox's launch are Crytek's Ryse and a new Forza. A new Halo title may also be in the works.
