The content may not be final, but Blizzard has released an extensive list of notes for World of Warcraft’s 5.3 update. This patch will include an additional Battleground to explore, a new Arena to do battle in, extra Scenarios to complete, and skill balancing across the board. Really, anyone shelling out a monthly fee for the world’s premier MMO should pay some attention to what Blizzard is cooking up.
Since this isn’t the final version of the update, players can head on over to the Public Test Realms and see what all the fuss is about. By entering this location, fans of the PC title can help the developer test out all the new content before it's official, as well as supply feedback. Because of the nature of the Public Test Realms, Blizzard has warned that "a great deal" could change before the final release.
The most significant new features include the Deepwind Gorge Battleground, which is situated in the Valley of the Four Wind; the Tiger’s Peak Arena, where players “make use of the looming tiger statues and fenced platforms to gain an advantage”; and the Battle on the High Seas, Blood in the Snow, Dark Heart of Pandaria, and Secrets of Ragefire Scenarios.
Major changes will also be applied to the Brawler's Guild, which we reported on earlier this month. The update will add 12 new bosses, a Challenge Card system, and a streamlined encounter system. Look to either test all of this content right now, or simply wait for the final release in the near future.
