Life is Strange was a massive success when it launched in 2015 and just a couple years later, the series saw another installment with Life is Strange: Before The Storm. Developed under Deck Nine, Life is Strange: Before The Storm follows Chloe Price, who was a prominent character within the Life is Strange video game.
Set prior to the events of Life is Strange, gamers are able to get a better understanding of what Chloe Price went through after the absence of longtime best friend Max Caulfield. It’s within this video game that we see the friendship and love blossom between Chloe Price and fellow rebellious school student Rachel Amber. With that said, unfortunately, fans of the former leading protagonist and time shifter Max Caulfield may have been a bit disappointed to see that the character was not present throughout the narrative. That’s until recently, thanks to the latest and final bonus episode release.
Titled Farewell, this bonus episode will give players one last chance to play as Max Caulfield before she moves away leaving her partner in crime, Chloe Price all alone picking up the pieces of her father’s passing.
Today, the bonus episode is now available and we’re excited to see that both original voice actors Ashly Burch and Hannah Telle step into their roles of Chloe and Max. You can likely expect a heartfelt trip that will undoubtedly leave gamers once again playing through Before The Storm and Life are Strange.
Likewise, for collectors, it’s worth noting that the physical boxed version of Life is Strange: Before the Storm releases tomorrow within the United States while PAL territories will have to wait until Friday, March 9, 2018.
A Limited Edition of the game will also come packed with extra goodies to enjoy as well. Outside of the full game for either PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, the Limited Edition will contain the Farewell bonus episode, an outfit pack for Chloe Price, the mixtape mode which allows players to create a playlist of in-game licensed music, an artbook, and lastly, an official CD soundtrack.
Of course, the digital copy of the game can be purchased today for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC platforms. We’re hopeful that this will hold you over long enough until new official announcements start to come out in regards to Life is Strange 2, a title being developed by the creators of Life is Strange, Dontnod Entertainment. While we don’t know too many details regarding the upcoming third installment of the series, it has been stated that Life is Strange 2 will feature a new cast of characters along with a brand new location.
